  How does Life Skills help children?

Life skills are beyond academics and are very essential to lead a healthy, happy and successful life. Early orientation of life skills help children grow into responsible, compassionate, resilient and well-adjusted adults. When children grow up, they will require these skills more than anything else.

The introductory product -Life Skills Orientation Kit comes in the form of card designed on World Health Organization (WHO) recommended Life Skills framework.

There are 4 age groups – 2-3yrs, 4-5yrs, 6-7yrs, 8-10yrs

  How many cards are there in the Life Skills Orientation Kit?

Depending on the age group, there are 11-12 cards.

  How these Hurray Kids cards/Life Skills Orientation Kit cards are to be used?

These cards need parent assisted delivery. There are instructions for parents before every exercise. In addition every kit comes with a parent’s guideline.

  How long does it take to complete the entire Orientation Kit ?

HK recommends 1 card every week. So 11-12 cards would take around 12 weeks to complete. However one can attempt even 2 cards every week.

It’s a kind of parent child engagement tool. The cards are interactive in nature and a wonderful way to bond with the child while orienting on life skills. In the process of using the cards, you will be able to know a lot about your child’s thinking process, knowledge of good and bad, choice of friends etc. This process of discovering your child would be extremely fascinating for you as a parent.

  Is any evaluation has to be done once the Life Skills Orientation Kit is completed?

There is no evaluation required as the idea is to orient the children on Life Skills in their early years of growth.

  Is there anything for schools?

Hurray Kids partners with Schools to create customized programs on Life Skills for children in the age group of 2-10 years. Interested schools are requested to fill the form. 

  Can these Kits be used for Home Schooling?

We believe the parents who are engaged in Home Schooling would find this Kit very useful.

  Are the cards clinical in nature?

No, the cards are non-clinical in nature. The skills have been simplified and has been made age specific so that people in general can use. Though it is been recommended by many psychologists, therapists and doctors to engage and bond with the child.
